.....I first saw Kim Donaldson's work in an exhibtion at a London Gallery - incidentally, this is where my passion for collecting started - and in 1994 I purchased my first Kim Donaldson: a pastel of a black Rhino. In my opinion, Kim is one of those very rare wildlife artists who is not only able to capture the physical look of the animal he is portraying, but also its spirit. he is able to depict the animal in all its dignity, caught in a specific moment, creating an almost tangible prescence on the canvas.
....Kim Donaldson is a man who is in all senses 'the real thing': a bushman and an exceptional artist who combines these skills to create an authentic taste of Africa.
